About Shinobi Life:
A lot of reviews seem to be misleading with this game. People don’t look too much into the game and call it good without actually mentioning its flaws. Pros: – Well optimized and runs smoothly on my PC. – Unique art style and graphics. – A ton of characters to learn jutsu from and play with. – Character customization is a ton of fun especially if you’re a fan of the series. There’s a lot of roleplay potential and you can go wild with some of the characters you can make. I heard someone has made Mike Tyson in this game and some other people, all in all it’s pretty fun to play around with. – Eliminating someone feels satisfying even though combat consists of button mashing. Cons: – The biggest problem with this game for me so far is connection issues. The reason for this is that the game servers are peer to peer which means if someone else in your lobby is lagging, then the entire lobby will lag as well. This is terrible for competitive matchmaking as it can ruin the whole match for everyone. Game overall is just really laggy and clunky, for example everytime I jump it teleports me to the ground. This is not the case for everyone though so try it out for yourself and see. – Like I said above, combat consists of only button mashing and timing your jutsu properly. There isn’t much skill used here but the competitive side of this game is team fighting, which requires some good team communication if you wanna have an advantage over the other team. – Pay 2 win elements. There’s a lot of DLCs and if you’re planning to play just the base game then you’re gonna be at a great disadvantage because there’s some unbalanced jutsu that a lot of people use. If you have the money to spend on the DLCs then go for it however I only recommend buying the ones that are worth it, but you can spend your money however you want. – Game lacks maps and game modes. It is so easy to implement a simple 1v1 game mode but the developers are just lazy to do it. There’s only a handful of maps to play in and very little game modes to choose from. – PVE side of game is extremely boring and every mission is just copy pasted. The boss battles are just spamming jutsu, die, respawn and repeat. The cutscenes are cringe and there is no story. Overall this game can be fun for you if you’re a Naruto/Boruto fan. If you have the money to spend on it then even better because they release a lot of DLCs and new characters to play with or learn new jutsu from. Do not listen to other people who say the game is dead because they’re wrong, in fact the game is pretty alive and most of the time I’ve had no problem finding a full lobby, it takes no less than a couple of seconds or a minute at most. Although I don’t recommend this game to the average gamer I will continue to play it because of my love towards the series. Give it a try yourself and if you don’t like it then you can refund it.
