About ECLIPSE X:
I recommend this to people who love RWBY and want a simple game to play with your friends. Some achievements are annoying or a long process to obtain but it was all fun in the end for me. I will say the big cons are (in my opinion) that the game itself is a bit overpriced for a project that appears to be unfinished and that it tends to get repetitive after awhile. I wish they continued to add more and more characters with new areas and maybe even a different story line, but its been about 5 yrs now and nothing new. I still recommend it regardless HOWEVER only if it is on sale unless you don’t care either way. Basic hack and slash. And I do mean basic. Basic level design, basic moves, basic combos, basic enemies… It feels like a student’s first game made on Unity. It’s only fun at the start, and after finishing the story with a friend, I felt drained and bored. It’s uninspired, specially considering how big RWBY was back when it was launched, and how much they could pull from the series (specially regarding mobs and moves). Do not buy this, period. POSTED: 27 AUGUST If RT ever reads this: Please make more of this game. Bar none the most successful RWBY game (despite everything), and I would like to see more of it FULLY developed next time. Review: The game has an insane amount of potential, but is sadly under-developed, however it captures the core things RWBY fans have needed/wanted: Team RWBY (and friends) doing what they do best; fighting tons of Grimm together in the most epic way possible, and having fun while doing it. There’s even some light dialogue between the characters, which as a fan is like striking gold, but it is few. I would wait for the sale on this one, but it is definitely worth getting for a RWBY fan, and it can be played with friends.
