About Bad Business:
I snagged Bad Business because I typically enjoy difficult top-down shooters (e.g. Hotline Miami, etc.). Unfortunately, there are some issues here that make it a difficult game to recommend. First of all, the camera – the isometric viewpoint makes it so there will always be areas that you can’t see as well as others. Although I’ll admit that an isometric camera is both more stylish and gives you more character detail, it’s not as precise for environmental information. You can move the camera around to try and get a better view, but this feels odd. Instead of aiming your character with your mouse, your mouse rotates the camera and you move your character around with WASD. I had a very difficult time getting used to this. I tried to look for an option in the game’s settings to use the mouse to control aiming and WASD to control the camera, but no luck. Also, some of the collision detection and object interactions in the game feel floaty, especially when you interact with doors. Is it open? Can the enemy see me? It’s tough to tell. I liked the time-slowing focus, the different weapons, and even some of the music, but Bad Business just doesn’t feel good to play. This is game has something for everyone. Want to climb a leader board, play a drop down shooter, become rage induce, have hours of game play or build levels that range from easy to insane. This game is for you! For less than a $1 this is the best pocket change game you can buy!
